Commercial vehicle restrictions.

Commercial vehicles with air brakes (26,000 pounds or greater) are prohibited from traveling westbound over Mt. Rose Summit from Mt. Rose Ski to Incline Village during working hours. Trucks will be allowed traveling eastbound from Incline Village to Reno. Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) officers will be monitoring.

Side street closures

Side street closures along both SR-431 and SR-28 are possible as NDOT and Q&D Construction try to complete the project as quickly possible. If side street closures occur, neighboring businesses and residents will be given advanced notice, at least one driveway access will be maintained and access signs and detour routes will be provided.

East Shore Trail night closures

As crews build a new retaining wall along SR-28 near the largest East Shore Trail bridge the trail will be closed in this area between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Nightly trail closure due to construction will only occur Sundays-Thursdays during this timeframe. This work is expected to occur in the summer of 2022.
